Kaleidoscopic Tropes
The series of photographic manipulations are a desire to
re-imagine city and tectonic landscapes through kaleidoscopic filters to
manifest a new logic of cityscapes. Building mass, light, shadow, and landscape
trajectories are transformed by mirror effects to create another experience of
interpretation. Cities that fold, float, bundle, or become vertical horizons
bring an imaginative and tectonic shift from the ordinary. This shift from
ordinary readings of the familiar help organize a manifestation of latent
potentials in symmetry, perspective, and cinematic image. Although these
elements have been explored in cinema, an alternative series of photographic
stills can allude to future sequencing of events through the tectonic reading
of the image. This affects the material quality, light reflection, and
redirects street elements as architectural notation. The sky and artificial
light merge as a gradient effect of spectacle and dreamscape orchestration.
Electric Flora
It is very nice article on that topic. I was looking for something like which is interesting and knowledgeable.
